Obituary Notice

Duane Sharpe, age 68, of Prescott, passed away on November 23, 2018. He was born on October 2, 1950, in Highland Park, to the late John and Emma Sharpe. Duane served his country in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching the Detroit Red Wings. Duane was a member of the Skidway Lake American Legion. He was known for his brutal honesty.

Duane is survived by his children, Heather Sharpe of Prescott, Duane (Crystal) Sharpe of West Virginia, and Rebecca (Dave) Sharpe-Meadows of Kenockee; his 7 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Sharpe.

You never missed a chance to let me know when my food was good. You loved the smoked turkey and the special banana bread I made just for you. You were a good man, always there to help others out, and help with a project to get 'er done. Herb and I will miss you greatly. We are glad we got to have our last visit, and you told us you knew it was not going to be long for this world.
