Obituary Notice

Dorothy Mae Harrell, 72, of Twining, Mich., formerly of Detroit, Mich., passed away unexpectedly Thursday morning, December 18, 2014 at home.

Dorothy was born December 1, 1942 in Detroit, Mich. to the late Eugene and Anna (Willis) Spencer. She married John W. Harrell and together they raised four children, Debra, Kimberly, Elijah and John.

Dorothy enjoyed frequenting the casinos, trying her hand at gambling, playing BINGO, and spending time with family and friends.

Dorothy is survived by her loving husband, John; children, Debra (Robert Harper) Gutierrez, Kimberly Harrell, Elijah (Erin) Harrell, John Harrell; 10 grandchildren, Kristin, Sydney, Antonio, Isabell, Anna, Ava, Elijah, Alexis, Little John, and Amber; four great-grandchildren, Deven, Caiden, Jaxen, Aryah.

Visitation for Dorothy will be held from 12:00 -2:00 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2014 at the Twining Chapel of the Buresh Funeral Home, 15 West Maple Ridge Road. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with cremation following. Memorial contributions may be directed to a charity of choice. Online condolences may be offered at

I am very sorry for your lose, Aunt Dorothy was a very good aunt to me, and I will remember the good time we had with her. Let her rest in peace in paradise now. You will always be in my memories. I am sorry I can't be there, but will be thinking of the family in my prayers.
