Dear Mom, thank you for being the best Mother-in-law a girl could ever have. You taught me so much about life and living. You were the best cook ever! We will all remember the many wonderful family times we shared with you, and your guy Ed. Like the song goes, " thanks for the memories." You have given me a treasure trove full of them. While we did share a few tears over the past 50 years we knew each other, I know you would agree that, we shared many more smiles, hugs and laughs. I am going to miss you dearly, but it helps to know that you are now resting safely in our Heavenly Father's arms, and that you are once again reunited with Ed. RIP Doris. I will love you always.

I will miss you, my dearest Aunt Doris. It was a luxury to visit you and Uncle Eds (still not sure why our family referred to him with an “s”) a couple of times over recent years. Always a joy through my years to be entertained by the two of you, and the shenanigans that ensued at family gatherings. Stubbing out a lit cigarette in the bare hand comes to mind; love that trick. May you enjoy the eternal light, as you once again embrace your eternal love, Ed.

Dear Doris....i will miss your warmth, wisdom, and especially your wit, and I will never forget how you welcomed me and my children into your family and even allowed them to call you "Geandma". That was such a blessing to me at the time and helped ease the pain of leaving their own geandparents behind when we moved from Seattle. I will miss your special spark but know that you are happily back with Ed and probably up to something that is causing a raisee etebrow by "the man upstairs"! Love you both, ever & always!

My heartfelt condolences to my widespread family who are grieving the loss of
Doris but are also celebrating her long and meaningful life. I know her husband (my brother), her family and her church brought great joy to her life so I will think about those times and keep her memory alive.
