Doris Ann King

Age 85, of Greenbush, MI, formerly of Ferndale, MI and Benham, KY, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at home with family by her side. She was born on May 14, 1933 in Rella, KY to the late Thomas and Adina Tuttle (Emory). Doris married the love of her life, Bill King Jr. on June 10, 1954. She worked for Stanley Doors in Birmingham, MI for over 25 years. In 1999, Doris proudly obtained her G.E.D. at the age of 66. She was an active member at the Oscoda United Methodist Church and was a part of the Women’s Sewing Club. Doris was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting, crocheting and most importantly, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Deborah (Alan) Bridget, Lillian (Phil) Miller, Vincent (Lorna) King, Bruce (Karen) King, Donna (Mike) Harrison and Stephen King; brother, William (Caroline) Tuttle; sister, Mary (Bud) Grubs; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill King, Jr., son, Donald King; brothers, Andrew Tuttle, Leonard Tuttle, Frank Tuttle, Delbert Tuttle, Chester Tuttle and Edward Tuttle and sister, Hazel Burkhart. The family will welcome friends on Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 11am until the time of service beginning at 2pm at Buresh Funeral Home in Oscoda, MI. Interment will take place following the funeral in Springport Cemetery in Harrisville, MI.
