Obituary Notice

Donald Scott Crossnoe, of Tawas City, passed away at his home on Friday, December 29, 2017, age 55.  Don was born on October 17, 1962 in Flint, Michigan to Jerry and Neil Crossnoe.  He worked for many years as an aircraft mechanic and truly enjoyed his profession.  Don was an avid NASCAR fan and loved being outdoors, especially camping with his family and friends.  He had a heart full of love and willingly gave countless hours over 17 years to help others in need through the local food bank.  Throughout the years, Don and his family would attend Emanuel Lutheran Church in Tawas City.  Above all however, he absolutely adored and cherished his family and all the time spent and memories created together!  Don will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.  He is survived by his wife and best friend, Naomi Crossnoe of Tawas City, to whom he married on October 26, 1991 at Emanuel Lutheran Church.  Don is also survived by his children, Shawn Crossnoe, Brandon Crossnoe, Brian Crossnoe, Alyssa Crossnoe, Emily Crossnoe, Brad Reseigh, and Frank Crossnoe; parents, Jerry and Carol Crossnoe; his loving and faithful dog, Tucker; 3 grandsons, Travis, Tyler, and Tanner; and many relatives and dear friends.  Don is preceded in death by his mother, Neil "Boots" Hamilton; grandparents, Becky and Neil Hamilton, and Katie Crossnoe; and his mother in law who he was very close with, Maxine Foess. Funeral services for Don are scheduled for Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Tawas City with Pastor Mark Lindloff officiating.  His family will welcome friends at the church Thursday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.  Interment will take place in the spring.  Expressions of sympathy may be made through a donation to his family.  Online condolences may be shared at

I met Don out at Kalitta Air back in 2004. I loved his Tawas Hoodies he would wear and I affectionately called him "Tawas Don". He hooked me up with my own sweatshirt from a lady that used to embroider them, He also invited me that year to the Labor day gathering at the East Tawas RV Park with the Ryan's. Needless to say, we had a great time! Shortly thereafter I moved my family from Midland to Tawas and coached his boys in Wrestling.
