Obituary Notice

Donald Marvin Wondero, age 78, died on Nov. 3, 2017 in National City, Mich. Don was born on April 25, 1939 in Mt. Clemens, Mich. He attended Trinity Lutheran School and graduated from Mt. Clemens High School in 1957. Don served in the United States Marine Corp from 1957 until 1960 and worked as a fire fighter in Clinton Twp. for 29 years. Before moving to National City, Don and India made their home in Mt. Clemens, Clinton Twp., and Dryden, Mich. where they raised Haflinger horses. They also enjoyed traveling together and had winter homes in Apache Junction, Ariz. and later Auburndale Florida.

Don is survived by his wife India, son Darrin Wondero (Tracy), daughter Dawn Doerr (Andrew), brothers William Wondero (Mary), Ronald Wondero, sister Kathy Kraatz (Ronald) and grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Florence and Marvin Wondero, and his sister and brother-in-law Joyce and Verne Jones.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Nov 8, 2017 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at 407 S. Washington St. in Hale with the Rev. Dean Muhle officiating.
