Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life with military honors will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at the F.O.E. Eagles in East Tawas.
Delmar George Eddy, Jr. "AC", of East Tawas, formerly of Flint, Michigan, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, April 3, 2017, age 69 years. Delmar was born on May 3, 1947 in Flint to Delmar and Cecilia (Pickard) Eddy Sr. He graduated from Northwestern High School in Flint and enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served our country during the Vietnam era. After his honorable discharge from the armed forces, Delmar went to work for A/C Spark Plug / Delphi, retiring after more than 30 years of service. Delmar loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and camping. He also enjoyed making friends and being part of community service organizations, such as the V.F.W. and the F.O.E. in East Tawas. Known by his friends as "AC", he always liked to let loose, smile, and even sing karaoke. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. Delmar is survived by his 4 loving children, Delmar George Eddy III of Flint, Trisha Lynn McCann (Eddy) of Flint, Renea Ann Trimble (Eddy) of Genesee, and Ford Henry Eddy of Flint; many grandchildren, great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Linda Gay, Carol Cortez, and Margie Stewart; and many special friends. Delmar is preceded in death by his father and mother, Delmar George Eddy Sr. and Cecilia Eddy (Pickard), and the mother of their children, Lucinda Eddy (Hunt).
