Clyda Marie Vernier, of Tawas City, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at the Iosco County Medical Care Facility, age 80 years.  Clyda was born on February 3, 1937 in Dearborn to Lola and Eugene White.  She will forever be remembered as a warm and loving mom and grandma who absolutely adored and cherished all of her grandchildren and had an enormous amount of pride in each of them!  Clyda had a passion for playing hand held video and card games, especially solitaire.  She enjoyed watching NASCAR, and cheering on the Detroit Tigers!  Clyda married her husband, Frank Vernier on October 17, 1957 in Dearborn, and together they celebrated nearly 50 years of marriage until his passing in 2006.  She is now survived by her 2 beloved daughters, Teresa (Andy) Hagan of East Tawas, and Lynn Waite of Tawas City; 4 grandchildren, Bradley McArdle, Kayla Vincenty-Cole, Jenna Vincenty-Cole, and Dylan Vincenty-Cole; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.  Along with her husband Frank, Clyda is also preceded in death by her mom Lola White in 2000, and dad Eugene White in 2007, and her sister, Marilyn Hackman.  Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Buresh Funeral Home in Tawas City with Reverend Rob Nordin officiating.  Her family will welcome friends at the funeral home for visitation on Saturday from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM.  Interment will take place immediately following the funeral in the Wilber Township Cemetery.  An online guest registry is available at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.

Teresa and Lynn, I was sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. I have fond memories of the band competition trips with her and Carol and Nancy Carney. I always thought she was a trooper with her situation. She did enjoy the plays and band concerts that she attended and I enjoyed seeing her there. Peace, love and prayers

Teresa, Lynn and family...we are sorry to hear of Clyda passing. Bea and I shared many moments and adventures with your Mother and Frank. We enjoyed Clyda getting after your father, but in a loving manner. We had great times with you girls growing up and watching you mature into grown women with your own families. We are sorry for your loss, now your mom can rest in peace and get after Frank in Heaven.
