Celia M. Barry

Age 87, a lifelong resident of Tawas City, MI passed away on Friday, August 21, 2020 at Tawas St. Joseph Hospital. She was born on July 6, 1933 in Turner, MI to the late Roy and Grace Butts (nee Watts). Celia worked as a seamstress for 30 years at Bishop Products, which was located near Hammell Beach. She continued her skills as a seamstress by supplying the automotive industry. She also did sewing on the side and was a very hard worker. In the rare times she wasn’t working, she enjoyed puzzles. Celia is survived by 3 sons, Allen (Julie) Butts of Sterling, MI, Gene (Carolyn Morgan) Barry of Tawas City, MI, Steven (Kristen) Barry of Tawas City, MI; one step-daughter, Kathy (Ken) Ulanch of Cedar Springs, MI; numerous grandchildren and several nieces and nephews which included her very close niece, Patricia Benifield. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Barry, her son Benny Barry, her 2 brothers, Paul and Leroy Butts and her sister Mildred Corey. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 27, 2020 from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 1:00 pm at the Buresh Funeral Home in AuGres, MI. Rev. Lyle Swartz will officiate and the interment will follow in the Sims-Whitney Cemetery in AuGres, MI. You may offer condolences at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
