Garden City, Michigan

CECIL E. LEPPER of Garden City, formerly of South Branch, MIpassed away May 16, 2012 at St. Mary's-Mercy Hospital in Livonia at 84 years of age.

He is survived by his wife Bernice whom he married August 5, 1955 in Pontiac. Two children, Martin (Julie) Lepper of Pinckney and Sheila (Steven) Wolney of Garden City. Also survived by six grandchildren; Emily, Sydney, Meredith, Thomas, Erin and Gavin along with one brother, Roy (Sonia) Lepper of Dearborn and a sister-in-law, Westine Lepper. Preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Vesta and brothers, Richard and Irwin Lepper.

Cecil proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean war period. He was a heavy equipment mechanic with Earle Equipment in Romulus and was a member of the Garden City American Legion Post 0396 and the AFL-CIO Union Local 324. He enjoyed carpentry, gardening and deer hunting.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, May 21, 2012 at the Hale Chapel of the Buresh Funeral Home, 121 S. Washington. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-6 P.M. Interment at Oak Grove Cemetery in South Branch, Rev. Wayne Parker officiating. Memorial contributions suggested to the American Lung Association.
