Obituary Notice

Barbara Jo Roth, age 76 of Hale, formerly of Flint, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2021.

She is survived by her husband Chris Roth, Sr. of Hale and his children, Kathy, Debbie and Chris,Jr. Barbara's children, Lisa Symonds of Flint and Gena (Doug) Altheide of Rusk TX. Daughter-in-law, Stacy Bond of Hillsdale. Babe the beagle was her favorite pet child. Her beloved grandchildren, Desire` Blevins of Royal Oak, Tommy Blevins of Saint Clair Shores, Kassandra (Clinton) Thurlow of Imlay City, Blake Bond of Allen, Kelly Bond of Milford, Erika Bond of Highland, Halaina, JT Bond of Tawas and Robert, Bobby & Ashley. Her adored great grandchildren, Ty Clifton of Royal Oak, Kelsea McMurray of Imlay City, Kyle McMurray of Imlay City and Madison Myers of Imlay City.

Mrs. Roth preceded in death by her parents Wilbern and Hazel (Kelly) King and her only son James G. Bond.

Mrs. Roth enjoyed owning Long Lake Bar where she hosted numerous events for the community and her family. She was well loved by the employees and were one big happy family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren at 4th of July BBQ, floating down AuSable River on inner tubes with fireworks later that night. She always enjoyed attending school and sporting events with her grands and greats. Over the years, she spent time crafting and attending craft shows, playing bingo in Canada, and listening to music while dancing the night away. She tried to do everything she could to make life easier for all by serving grand meals with a helping of tough love. She will be sorely missed by all.

Per her wishes, Mrs. Roth was cremated and a memorial will be held at a future date.

Mrs. Roth routinely gave to Fish foundation and highly recommends all residents donate whenever possible.
