Visitation will be Wednesday, February 12, 2020 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Buresh Funeral Home (121 S. Washington St., Hale, Michigan 48739) and from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at the Hale First United Methodist Church (201 W. Main St., Hale, Michigan 48739).

Obituary Notice

Barbara J. Caverly, age 77, of Hale, passed away unexpectedly on February 10, 2020.

She is survived by her loving children; Diane Wojcik-Cooper (Clayton Gawne) of Flint, MI and Mary Simmons (Russell Schmidt) of Stauton, VA. Granchildren; Matthew (April), Justin, Kristine and Dillon Simmons. Great-Grandchildren; Robert, Brooke, Caleb, Lora, Cameron and Isaac. Sister; Linda Caverly. She will be missed by many dear friends in the community.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband; Frederick. Grandchildren; Kevin Simmons and Leonard Wojcik, Jr. Sister; Judy Sanders.

Mrs. Caverly was born in Whittemore, Michigan on April 16, 1942 to James Lyle and Elizabeth (Gawne) Robinson. She married Frederick Caverly on February 10, 1962. She is a Past-President of the American Legion Post #422 Ladies Auxillary, served as an EMT for Plainfield Township and was a member of Hale First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed knitting, gardening, cooking and cherished time spent with her family and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 12, 2020 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Buresh Funeral Home (121 S. Washington St., Hale, Michigan 48739) and on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at the Hale First United Methodist Church (201 W. Main St., Hale, Michigan 48739). The American Legion Auxillary will offer a memorial service at 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
