Albert and Verena spent their retirement in Glennie, MI. Albert was a charter member and officer of the Glennie Lions Club. Both served in the Curtis Township Citizens Watch for 17 years. He and Verena loved to fish, camp, hunt, snowmobile and ride their four-wheeler. Their travels took them to nearly every state, as well as Canada. He harvested nearly one deer a year, and maintained a large garden.

Much love to my dad and uncles on the loss of their father. For all those grieving, take solace in the legacy he left with his great sons, a greater set of fine men cannot be found. My sons lost a great buddy. We will be holding a memorial service on Memorial Day weekend in Grandpa's honor.
— Anna Sparks
My condolences to the family.
My parent's Marion aka Shorty and Joan Bainbridge talked very highly of Uncle Swede and Aunt Verena.
Prayers for the family and friends that were close to Uncle Swede.
He's where he wants to be with his loving wife and other family that past before him.
RIP Uncle Swede

Your loss is felt among us. When I would visit my mom and dad, Frank and Mary Berch, they took me to meet and visit Swede and Verena. They were both so welcoming and down to earth, we immediately hit it off and friendship began. They all had fun getting together. Bless your family.
— Margaret (Maggie) Berch
