Ashley and Ruth to me were ALWAYS and will always be Ashley and Ruth... I always admire the love they have for each other and I know he is always looking down on his family at peace. I am Melissa Orlando (Missy) their neighbors Sam & Karen daughter. Everytime I visited Tawas it was a given that they had to come over or I had to go to see them as I think of them as family. I will never forget and will always be thankful of how generous they were when I decided to go camping solo and they made sure I stopped by to pick up some supplies. It was greatly appreciated. His daughters and grandkids as well as with any other family have ALWAYS been so kind and welcoming and that is how you knew Ashley was a good man. His love spreads through many many people with his kind heart. You will be missed and it will never be the same but I know you will be in the heavens looking below. I love you Ashley & Ruth as well with the family.
— Melissa (Missy) Orlando
