Things to Remember

  • Casket and vault are required for all cemetery burials
  • A cemetery plot will need to be purchased if your loved one does not already have one (the funeral director can assist you in this process).
  • Choose the clothing that you want your loved one presented in prior to meeting with the funeral director and if possible, bring to the arrangement meeting.
    • Clothing should consist of undergarments, long sleeve shirt, pants or skirt as may be appropriate; socks and shoes depending on family preference; any other items that you may want presented with or on your loved one (glasses, jewelry, wedding ring, etc.).
  • Paper work/documentation that will prove helpful for your arrangement meeting with the funeral director.
    • SSN documents
    • Marriage license
    • Birth certificate
    • Military discharge document (DD214)
    • Life insurance documents
    • Will (if available)
  • Floral arrangements are handled by family.
  • Picture boards are available for use at each funeral home
  • Headstone and marker appointments can be made with any funeral director to design a headstone or marker for your loved one.
